  • Scott Brinkmeyer, Creative Director – Dogwood Co. Design

Scott’s love of all things creative began in 1986, with a 4th Grade entry of a rough-riding Crayon cowboy that won honorable mention at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Art Show. Now, with 25 years of agency and church staff experience, Scott uses his calling to partner with, lift up and support his ministry clients with the same passion and excitement that all started back in ’86.

Scott’s career kicked-off right out of college at a Houston ad agency where he accumulate countless awards and accolades while working with some amazing accounts. Clients like Wing Stop, Volkswagen Houston, Buc-ees, ConocoPhilips, Kelsey-Seybold Health System, and Trendmaker Homes). Working on everything from comprehensive branding launches, targeted campaigns, and strategic marketing plans. However; In 2010, after a life-changing decision to follow Christ, Scott left his Creative Director role to pursue a new calling in the Church. A calling to bring the same passion, experience, and creative gifts he had developed in the cut-throat marketing world to sharing the gospel with the hurting, hungry, and lost.

Later that year he followed that calling to a megachurch in the suburbs of Houston, TX. It’s here that he began to apply and tailor everything he had learned over the previous 10 years to support and help move God’s Kingdom forward. Surrounded by supportive leadership, a talented team, and virtually unlimited resources Scott still struggled with one question, “What about all the other amazing churches that don’t have access to megachurch resources or budget?” In 2020, no longer able to ignore the gentle, yet persistent leading, Scott resigned his position and stepped out in faith to follow through with the dream that started ten years earlier.

Launching Dogwood Co. Design (@dogwoodco.design) in the summer of 2020, Scott’s vision of partnering with ministries and churches has become a reality. Providing everything from creative/marketing consulting, brand design, launching capital campaigns, and church bulletins. For the past 3 years he’s worked with ministry clients wanting to take the next step in reaching their unique community and sharing their vision with a hurting world.
